using foraging behavior to investigate neural circuits of choice

About us

The Cox Lab is located in the Department of Neurobiology at the University of Chicago.

Our goal is to understand how the brain uses multiple types of information to choose between actions and goals. We do this by developing novel behavioral tasks inspired by natural behavior combined with systems neuroscience tools to record and manipulate the activity of specific neural populations during behavior.
